The Rumour: The movie's big twist is that Rick Flag has actually been secretly working for the real villain, his father, Rick Flag Sr., who wants to get his mitts on Amanda Waller's resources for his own gain. Ed Harris was also rumoured to be playing the father role.

How Much We Believed It: Rick Flag Sr. appearing sounded reasonable enough, especially as Warner were so circumspect about discussing villains ahead of time, but throwing in a last-minute twist like this could so easily have felt like overkill. Plus, Rick Flag as a chickens*** villain reporting to his daddy? Nah. 3/10

The Truth: There was absolutely nothing to this whatsoever, and Flag ends up being probably the most virtuous major character in the entire movie.
