Suicide Squad 2: 10 Insanely Dark Moments That Won't Be Used

6. Gross Ant Murders

Of the insect family, ants are fairly low down in terms of people being afraid of them. They’re less aggressive than wasps, and less Lovecraftian than their arachnid cousins, so they’re generally regarded as a lesser evil.

However, the third issue from Suicide Squad Vol. 3 proves that they can be every bit as terrifying as their spookier brethren. In a series of scenes ripped straight from someone’s phobia-riddled nightmares, several members of the Squad are slowly consumed by a horde of the insects. To make matters worse, the team are trapped on an island – with basically zero idea of the horrors that await them.

If it weren’t for the cartoony art style, you would honestly be able to pass the issue off as a horror comic without anyone batting an eyelid.

I like my comics like I like my coffee - in huge, unquestionably unhealthy doses.
