Suicide Squad 2: 10 Insanely Dark Moments That Won't Be Used
5. Lime's Death
In terms of gory deaths, the demise of the short-lived Suicide Squad member Lime is not the most hardcore – she’s not burnt or eaten alive, so her death is actually one of the ‘nicest’ deaths in the franchise.
Yet, despite being less gory a death, it’s still one that is unlikely to be taken up by scriptwriters for the next film – unless they want the tone to turn seriously dark.
This is because Lime dies by having her bomb collar detonated – with her twin sister, Light, right next to her. It’s crucial to mention that the two were inseparably close – as the names suggest – and so there’s probably nothing worse that could be done to them than having one twin watch the other die. It’s also then shown that Lime is literally haunting her sister, and that this is traumatising the living sibling – as the ghost of your dead twin would.
Unless the sequel wants to be 80% tragic twin angst, Lime and Light are unlikely to see any of the limelight - not in this way at least.
