11. Diablo's Non-Gangbanger Wife Has A Gang-Banger Tattoo
It's the little details that really make movies successful.
While Jay Hernandez's performance as Diablo is one of the best parts of the film (when he's eventually used), there's a problem with his backstory.
When it's eventually revealed that he accidentally killed his family after unleashing the beast in his home, we're introduced to a flashback that shows Diablo's wife (played by Corina Calderon) admonishing him for his criminal behaviour. She shows him a newspaper with an arson attack, finds guns and money and basically busts his balls.
What's more surprising, in that respect is that she clearly has a gangland tattoo of her own on her face. And not only that, but it appears to be a tear drop on her cheek - a common prison tattoo that either suggests a long prison term or a murder committed. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!
