Suicide Squad: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Trailer 2

3. The Monster Henchmen

It's a little hard not to think of the monster henchmen in Suicide Squad as anything other than monster of the week side attractions to the main event. They're effectively the DC version of The Avengers' Chitauri invasion: a horde of faceless cannon fodder designed to amp up the immediate drama without having a great deal of longevity or substance.

It's no bad thing to have them representing Enchantress' ability to "infect" people with her powers (as it seems they're reanimated corpses), but with her and Common's Monster T both on the streets, there's hardly going to be a great deal of space to develop the monster mooks. They'll be completely expendable (hinted at already by their numbers), and we'll be looking at tagged on action for the sake of cheap thrills.
