12. The Wrecking Crew

On paper, The Wrecking Crew basically looked like a big-budget excuse for Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa to hang out in Hawaii and New Zealand for a few months on Amazon's dime, especially with how listlessly the streamer dumped the film on their platform back in January.

But fans of buddy action films are absolutely thirsty for content, and The Wrecking Crew was something of a shocker.

Sure, the plot seems like it was scrawled on a paper napkin the night before shooting started, but the chemistry between Bautista and Momoa is A+, the supporting cast is fun and diverse, and it's packed with satisfyingly bone-snapping action sequences.

Yes, it's about 20 minutes too long and there's some truly wretched VFX work in the second half, but the charm offensive of the two leads combined with its consistent array of giddy one-liners ensures The Wrecking Crew has the makings of a modest action franchise.
