Tenet: 10 Reasons It's Christopher Nolan's Worst Film Ever
1. It's Got All Of Christopher Nolan's Bad Habits Combined And Turned Up To 11
While Christopher Nolan is the best director of blockbusters working today, his films have a few recurring flaws. These include: the total lack of humour, poorly-written female characters, iffy dialogue, excessive run-times and an occasional lack of character development.
These flaws have always been there, but prior to this they have never brought down a Nolan film and were only minor distractions in otherwise great movies... until Tenet.
Tenet brings out all of these flaws and dials them right up. It's long, hollow, filled with god-awful dialogue, nauseatingly pretentious and is, in general, an ambitious misfire that large numbers of audience members will probably absolutely hate.
Yes, so far the critical scores are good, but it's extremely unlikely this movie would've been well-received were it not for the affection associated with Nolan's films.
We all wanted Tenet to be good but ultimately it is a pretty weak movie. Since it combines and emphasizes the issues that had been there beneath the surface in Nolan's earlier, vastly superior films, it definitely feels fair to call this Nolan's worst film to date.
