Terminator: Dark Fate – 7 Big Things We Learned From The Trailer
3. There Will Be More CGI-Heavy Fights

One thing, however, that the franchise can't seem to escape is the CGI robot vs. CGI robot trope. Yep, that's right, after seeing it take place in Terminator 2, 3, 4 and 5, we're once again going to watch two Terminators rip each other apart. What's even better is that one of them will take place in, you guessed it, a factory!
To cut the film some slack, it's understandable that the two Terminators will face off because Grace isn't exactly going to appeal to the stone cold killer cyborg's humanity now, is she? However, it's just yet another similarity to Terminator 2: Judgment Day - one that every other sequel that ever promised it would be different has also copied. And the worst thing about it is that T2's battles looked far better than all of them because it relied on practical effects over CGI.
On another note, there also appears to be an underwater fight between the Rev 9 and what looks like it's Arnie's T-800, so at least the big guy will get some action in after all. That being said, it's imperative that the CGI featured in this (and all the other action sequences) possess better CGI than the trailer.
