14. The Optimus Prime Insult

When Detective O'Brien turns up at the hospital in 2017 hoping to get access to Sarah and Kyle, his colleagues derogatorily call him "Optimus Prime", an obvious reference to his obsession with robots. Another out-of-franchise reference (this time to, obviously, Transformers), it's also a nice nod to his initial confusion earlier - he originally mistook the T-1000 for an alien, which is what the Autobots actually are. This Easter egg does raise another, interesting point; if Transformers can be used as a derogatory term in 2017, does that mean they've finally stopped making explosion-porn movies in the future? You can dream.
