Texas Chainsaw Massacre: 10 Things You Didn't Know About Leatherface

7. He's Inspired Endless Hip-Hop Lyrics

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaBtjc_AaCQ Horror and hip-hop have never been the best of bedfellows. While mid-€˜90s acts like the Gravediggaz, Prince Paul€™s Horror City and (to a certain extent) Big L managed to use horror's motifs to their advantage, the two genres are seen as an oil and water combo. Unlike the worlds of metal or goth music, it can be hard to bring horror elements into hip-hop without coming off as corny or just plain ridiculous. But that tenuous connection hasn€™t deterred some of hip-hop€™s finest from invoking our boy Leatherface in many of their lyrics. From Eminem, Jedi Mind Tricks, Brotha Lynch Hung, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, R.A. The Rugged Man, Tyler, The Creator and numerous others; many have drenched their lyrics with chainsaw wielding imagery that would make Leatherface himself ecstatic with glee. Just last year, Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug released a song, fittingly titled, Chainsaw Massacre. But perhaps the greatest song featuring chainsaw wielding mayhem is Big Pun's Leatherface - an ode to doing "surgery with the chainsaw". You could only imagine the actual Leatherface listening to these tracks while he's carving up meat and playing with his Speak & Spell.
