Actress Of The Year - Alicia Vikander
Over the last couple of years, Alicia Vikander has established herself as one of the most talented young actresses working today. It almost seemed as if the 27 year-old was never off our screens this year given the sheer volume of projects that she appeared in throughout 2015, starring in everything from one of the year's biggest box office bombs to an Academy Awards front-runner. Despite appearing in the critically-derided Seventh Son and Burnt (rated at 13% and 28% on Rotten Tomatoes), the Swedish actress has also featured in a number of well-reviewed movies in almost every genre such as Testament of Youth (82%), Son of a Gun (63%), The Man from U.N.C.L.E (67%), Ex Machina (92%) and The Danish Girl (74%), with the latter two performances generating plenty of awards buzz and landing Vikander Golden Globe nominations in both the Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress categories in the process.
