Vin Diesel doesn't really tend to sign on to a lot of projects that don't feature his signature characters of Dominic Torretto or Richard B. Riddick. In fact, outside of his voice role as Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, his turn as Kaulder in Breck Eisner's The Last Witch Hunter is the first original character that the chrome-domed action star has played since 2008. Maybe Diesel should stick to the Fast and Furious franchise, because the movie is awful. Not even in a 'so-bad-its-good' kinda way, just awful. How The Last Witch Hunter cost $90m to produce is anybody's guess when the CGI is as dismal and poorly-rendered as it appears onscreen. Suspension of disbelief is key when it comes to the fantasy genre, but with such fake-looking monsters and blatantly obvious CGI backdrops the movie makes this virtually impossible, with the visual effects almost (but not as quite) laughable as the script.
I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
