The 2015 Alternative Movie Awards

Best Trailer - Mad Max: Fury Road

Mad Max: Fury Road had been stuck in development hell for what seemed like an eternity. Originally announced as far back as 2001 with Mel Gibson still attached to the title role, cameras didn't start rolling until June 2012 and the movie didn't hit theaters until this past May, a full 30 years after Beyond Thunderdome. Once we'd all picked our jaws up off the floor, the movie instantly shot to the top of countless must-see lists based on the promise of insane practical stuntwork and stunning visuals.
