Earlier this summer, it was revealed that Reeves is developing a Gotham City Police Department TV series alongside former Boardwalk Empire showrunner Terrence Winter. It's unclear whether Batman will be part of that, but the plan is to use the show to flesh out his first year as the city's vigilante.

However, the action is going to take place from the point of view of a cop. "The idea is we go back to Year One, and Year One is the beginning of the emergence and is the first appearance of this masked vigilante that starts to unsettle the city," Reeves teased. "You start to see the story through the point of view of these corrupt cops and one in particular, and the story is actually a battle for his soul."

Corruption in Gotham City will be a big part of this untitled series and The Batman, and the point of the show is to explore that in a way "you couldn't do in a movie. [The series will] go into these rich places and [we'll] meet entirely new characters that Terence is going to be writing, and I'm incredibly excited."
