A closer look at the trailer for The Batman revealed that the Batcave isn't a cave. It's certainly possible that the Caped Crusader's base is still beneath Wayne Manor, but a closer look points to it being a repurposed subway station which Bruce and Alfred have started to outfit with various technology.

Talking of the hero's loyal butler, Reeves also promised a whole new, unexpected take on him here too.

"While I was writing, I actually already had a production designer on and so he would be sending - as I'm writing scenes, I might send stuff to James, and he's like, 'Oh, well what about this for a Batcave?'" Reeves recalled, teasing his unique plans for Burce and Alfred's base of operations. "And so yes, we had to build a set for it, but I think it's an incredibly original and different set. I think it's going to be really fun for the audience to discover what version of exactly this Batcave is going to be."

Like the Batmobile, there's room for the Batcave to expand and evolve as time passes, but Bruce has had many bases throughout Gotham City, so this could just be one of those.
