The Batman: 10 Perfect Casting Choices For Robin

1. Maisie Williams

Maisie Williams would certainly be a controversial casting, seeing as Robin is typically male in the comics. However, there is a female version of the character out there, and after nine male candidates, it’s worth considering the ladies.

Carrie Kelley was Robin in Frank Miller’s famous Dark Knight saga, while there’s also Stephanie Brown who went on to become Batgirl.

There’s a host of women who could fill the role, just as there’s likely to be more than just these nine guys in the heads of executives when casting rolls around. Maisie Williams has already been building a decent career away from Arya Stark, with a recurring role in Doctor Who as well as leads in Cyberbully, iBoy and the upcoming The New Mutants.

Fellow female Game Of Thrones breakout stars Emilia Clarke and Sophie Turner though each have blockbusters in their catalogue already, with Star Wars, Terminator and X-Men.

Williams certainly had the talent to match them in the show, stealing some brilliant scenes with Charles Dance in particular. She’s also the youngest and has experience through both Thrones and Doctor Who playing a Robinesque character, so if they go for Kelley or Brown, you feel the role is made for her.
