The Batman: 5 Stories That Could Influence Ben Affleck's Solo Movie

3. Infinite Crisis

Deathstroke Identity Crisis

Infinite Crisis is one of the most well-loved DC stories of all time. It's probably too soon to see the whole arc unfold on the big screen, and DC still have a few issues to work out before they can embark on a project so ambitious, but that doesn't mean that Ben Affleck won't draw inspiration from one of the greatest comic book arcs of all time.

In Infinite Crisis, Slade Wilson is the head of The Secret Society Of Super-Villains, and while I don't see Affleck using quite so silly a name, I can see Slade being at the top of the food chain as far as Batman villains are concerned.

We keep hearing rumours that the next Batman movie will feature most, if not all of Batman's rogues gallery. Previously, people had assumed that this would be because a large portion of the movie would be set in Arkham, taking inspiration from the aptly named Arkham series of games.

But what if the whole movie is set outside of Arkham, and Slade frees everyone in the greatest attempt to kill Batman yet?
