The Batman: 5 Stories That Could Influence Ben Affleck's Solo Movie

1. City Of Assassins

Chances are, of all of these choices, City Of Assassins will play the largest role in Ben Affleck's Batman. It's a story taken from Deathstroke's ongoing series in the '90s - Deathstroke: The Terminator.

The centre piece of this incredible story is a beautifully drawn, brutally brilliant fight between Deathstroke and Batman, and we can certainly expect some visual references to that in the big act 3 final battle. Of course, in City Of Assassins, Batman and Deathstroke end up teaming together, which could be a really interesting direction for the film to take.

The main battle in City Of Assassins is such a cinematic set piece, it would be a real shame not to use it in the film and it would be a great way to build Deathstroke up as a credible threat to Batman, something that would need to happen as we've already seen Batman beat Superman to a pulp, and let's face it - at the end of the day, Deathstroke is just a guy with one eye.
