8. Commissioner Gordon - Damian Lewis
Another one of the characters that is pretty much assured to appear when it comes to exploring the Batman mythos, it would simply criminal for Commissioner Gordon to be left out this latest big screen outing.
When it comes to this character, easily the best portrayal came from the incredible Gary Oldman, one that doesn't seem like it'll be topped anytime soon, due to how the actor was the spitting image of Gordon and gave a performance to match.
Yet, if anyone would be able to challenge this version, then it would have to be Damian Lewis. Lewis has done the soldier/police officer act numerous times before, and as such, has become quite brilliant at it, making him the perfect choice to portray this most integral of Batman characters.
Also, casting Lewis would finally give DC the chance to give Gordon his red hair, something which has been sorely lacking from all on-screen appearances to date.
