The Best Moment Of Every MCU Film - Ranked

17. I’m Just A Girl – Captain Marvel

Giant Man War Machine Captain America Civil War
Marvel Studios

21 movies and 11 years was far too long for Marvel Studios to wait to release its first female-led movie. Though Captain Marvel wasn't the strongest movie the MCU franchise has to offer, and while many believed that it should have been Black Widow's solo movie to come first, it was still very enjoyable.

The movie's best moment came towards the end aboard Mar-Vell's orbiting laboratory, as Carol fought off the Kree and protected both the Tesseract and the Skrulls. She was able to beat her entire former unit, even after having a pinball machine thrown at her.

The action and choreography was excellent, and the fun scene showed off many of the Captain's incredible powers. As Vers, Carol had been fighting with one hand behind her back, but this was the first time she could fully embrace the powers given to her by the Tesseract and play around with them like never before.

What made it even greater, however, was the soundtrack. Throughout the movie, and even outside the confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Brie Larson's character faced sexism and discrimination, and this scene, accompanied by 'Just A Girl' by No Doubt, was the perfect middle finger back.
