'The Dictator' Admiral General Aladeen Delivers Oscar Snub Message

Sacha Baron Cohen's new outrageous character delivers a message to his followers about Academy Award ceremony ban.

Paramount Pictures are turning the controversy over the apparent banning of Sacha Baron Cohen from attending this Sunday's Oscar ceremony 'in character' as Admiral General Aladeen for his May released comedy The Dictator, into a publicity angle. The official twitter feed for the character Cohen plays in the movie has been updated with a new video from the Admiral who applauds the Academy for taking away his right to free speech (lol) but sees the banning as an act of aggression. You can watch the video message below which was taped on NBC's Today Show this morning; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AAvRyro6_Y&feature=player_embedded You can read our original article about the alleged banning of Sacha Baron Cohen from the Oscars HERE, something which the Academy have since denied. The satirical Paramount Pictures comedy The Dictator opens May 11th and is the third movie in the improvisational comedy trilogy that re-teams Cohen with director Larry Charles. Cohen plays two roles, one of an outlawed foreign dictator who finds himself lost in America and is loosely based on the memoirs of Saddam Hussein and the other as goat herder. Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox, John C. Reilly, B.J. Novak, Kevin Corrigan and J.B. Smoove co-star.
