The Flash: 10 Ways Ben Affleck's Batman Could Be Written Out Of The DCEU
2. A Happy Ending
Assuming the DCEU's original timeline lives on (giving Warner Bros. the chance to explore it again down the line), then this might not be the worst idea. With the Flash set to spend time with at least two different versions of the Dark Knight, it wouldn't be a stretch to add another: Thomas Wayne.
He became Batman after his son was shot in front of him and, in the Flashpoint comic book, helps Barry upon learning that there's a timeline where Bruce is alive. When the Scarlet Speedster manages to wipe that desolate world from existence, he takes a letter from Thomas to Bruce, and we're sure that being used as a parting gift would be a fitting way to leave things with Affleck's version.
Receiving that closure might inspire Bruce to give up his war on crime and find a new life for himself; if by some weird time-travel shenanigans he and Keaton's Batman are part of the same world, he would have the perfect opportunity to be free of the burden of being Gotham City's Dark Knight.
This would be something of an open-ended conclusion, but one that would let Bruce know Barry was successful in rescuing his mother (in an alternate timeline).
