Barry Allen and Peter Parker - played respectively by Grant Gustin and Tom Holland - are two of the most popular superhero incarnations. Despite being from opposite sides of the comic-book spectrum - i.e. DC and Marvel - there are tonnes of parallels to be made between the characters of Peter Parker and Barry Allen, and it doesn't just come down to their love of the colour red.
Besides being youthful, wise-cracking and humorous heroes, they both have a significant propensity for chucking out inspirational quotes. This helps the pair to walk that fine line between a motivational hero and a relatable goof, making them easier to invest in and believable as characters.
