The film is definitely more in the Oscar than Razzie category, but any nominations will definitely be for Moss' stellar performance. There will be a lot counting against her, including the fact that this is effectively a low budget horror film and most people will have forgotten her performance by the time Oscar nominations come around.

Everything else is solid if not spectacular, the film lacking an emphatic punch at the end to warrant a best film nomination. Whannell borrows heavily from Paranormal Activity in his Direction so he will not be receiving any nominations, although a gutsier ending may have helped.
