The Lego Batman Movie: 10 Reasons It's Better Than Snyder's Batman

4. The Third Act Isn't A Total Mess

Pretty much everyone has problems with BvS' third act: we get a 7-minute battle between the titular superheroes before they predictably team up against an ugly CGI rendition of Doomsday and get helped out by Wonder Woman, almost all of which was spoiled by the trailers. Then Superman "dies" to the surprise of nobody, and the movie ends on a total bum note.

The Lego Batman Movie flips the script and actually firmly hits its stride in the final reel, as the heroes face off against a monstrous cavalcade of enemies that are nothing if not fanboy-friendly.

The visuals, the action and the tone all feel totally on-point, while BvS' finale felt like a lukewarm soup of all the things focus groups tell studio execs people want.
