Somewhat fittingly, Captain America: Civil War started a civil war behind-the-scenes.

Directors Joe and Anthony Russo were set on the movie's bold finale, which saw Captain America and the Winter Soldier team up to battle Iron Man. However, the Marvel Creative Committee - a group that gave notes on Marvel Studios' movies - wanted a happier and more trite conclusion, wherein the Avengers reunited to battle the Super Soldiers discovered in the Siberian base.

Unable to reach a compromise, the Russos then decided that they would quit the project if they weren't allowed to uphold their vision:

"We reached a point where we said, out loud in a room, 'we're not interested in continuing as directors of this movie if it is going to be about managing politics and a third act.'"

This dispute eventually reached former Disney film chairman Alan Horn, who sided with the filmmakers. The Marvel Creative Committee was soon disbanded, and the Russos were able to execute their Civil War plan.

He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
