The Many Saints of Newark
Warner Bros.

No spoilers here of course, but while the film's ending certainly delivers a potent visceral punch, it does also feel a little too rushed for its own good.

A lot of incident and implication is forced into the fraught final five minutes, and as such the speedy ending might leave viewers feeling a little unfulfilled with how hurriedly Chase drags them to the finish line.

This is clearly an area where the mini-series format would've served it better, giving the audience time to stew on the more dramatic happenings in those final scenes, rather than abruptly cutting off, as almost feels like an in-joke nodding to the series' own controversial final cut to black.

But if you can forgive these issues, The Many Saints of Newark should be catnip to most Sopranos fans...
