The Matrix Resurrections: 25 WTF Moments

9. The Analyst Uses Bullet Time Against Neo

Circling back to that earlier jab about Lana clearly struggling to find a way to one-up the bullet time insanity of the original three movies, we get a neat twist on it when the Analyst, who effectively controls this new version of the Matrix, uses bullet time against Neo.

After temporarily defeating Smith, Neo pays a visit to Trinity at her bike shop, but soon enough Trinity is shown to be a facade, with the Analyst emerging to reveal himself as the Big Bad.

More than that, the Analyst has slowed down time while speaking to Neo, rendering him unable to launch an attack while the Analyst effortlessly evades his hits and then has one of his swarm drones fire a bullet at Trinity.

Neo desperately tries to make the slow-mo save, but thankfully the Analyst actually needs to keep Trinity alive and so stops the bullet from killing her mere inches from her face.

Those glitchy slow-mo visuals of the Analyst moving around sure looked cheap and awful, huh?
