The Mighty Ducks Cast - Where Are They Now?

7. Matt Doherty - Lester Averman

Lester Averman deserved more screen time in The Mighty Ducks, but that's neither here nor there. He was one of the rare mainstays across all three movies and frequently provided some of the franchises more light-hearted moments. He wasn't really that good of a player, opting to spend his time on the sidelines commentating on his team's performance, or lack thereof, during tough early matches.

One of his early highlights easily being confusing a baseball chant for a hockey one, only to be corrected by Coach Bombay that there are actually not bats in hockey.

The actor who played Averman is Matt Doherty, and his feature film debut was actually in Christmas classic Home Alone. Following his role in the first Ducks movie, he played Heed in So I Married an Axe Murderer, and has popped up in shows such as Boston Public, ER, and two of the CSI series (playing different characters).

He's continued to pursue acting through the years, with his most recent credited appearance being in the show Rosewood in 2017, and the TV movie Supernova 45 in 2015.
