The Simpsons: 10 Classic Episodes That Could Have Been Movies

4. You Only Move Twice (Season 8, Episode 2)

This was an obvious choice for a should've been Simpsons movie.

Hank Scorpio was supposed to be the villain of The Simpsons Movie, but given his friendship with Homer and the fact that a mainstream audience wouldn't have recognized him, they decided to drop the idea and instead went with a different villain still voiced by Albert Brooks.

Well, a sham to that, we say! Hank Scorpio would've made an excellent villain had he been the main rogue of the movie or even had You Only Move Twice been a feature in itself. It's full-length film material just by premise alone: Homer Simpson unknowingly becomes the employee of a James Bond-type supervillain.

Imagine all the possibilities had this been a full feature — The Simpsons family getting caught up in super spy shenanigans, all with brand new characters from the town of Cypress Creek.

This easily could've been a fantastic animated parody of James Bond films and action and spy films in general. In fact, your writer is willing to bet The Simpsons Movie 2 could still be this if they decide to bring back Scorpio and make him a prominent character. It's still disappointing that even until now, Hank Scorpio hasn't made a proper comeback, and bringing him back should they decide to make a second Simpsons movie could make the sequel an instant favorite.
