The Worst Thing About Every MCU Film

As has been demonstrated in the first two Iron Man films, a lot of Shellhead's rogue gallery are just evil versions of Iron Man. So when his arch-nemesis, The Mandarin, was announced as the main villain of Iron Man 3, fans were pumped.

However, the director, Shane Black, blindsided everyone by revealing that this master terrorist was nothing more than a patsy for the real villain, Aldrich Killian, who is played by Guy Pearce. To give him credit, it was a ballsy move, and some viewers thought The Mandarin's reveal was the best part of the movie.

But it still feels a disservice that one of Marvel's greatest villains was thrown away for a gag. Even if you loved this switcharoo, it's still disappointing for the main adversary to be Pearce's completely forgettable baddie - even if we can hope the real villain may rock up sometime in the future.
