Thor Ragnarok: 10 Big Questions From What We Know So Far
2. Will Loki Finally Be Defeated?
After the overwhelmingly positive response to Tom Hiddlestons Loki in The Avengers, Thor: The Dark World was rewritten to include more scenes for the God of Mischief. Christopher Eccleston probably wasnt best pleased about that, but the use of Loki in the film actually one of the best things about Thor 2. The fact that Hiddleston has become so popular raises one big question, though will Loki ever be stopped? Hes still the best-received villain the MCU has ever had, which makes it tough to believe that Kevin Feige and co. would ever truly write him out of the story. This could mean, then, that he comes out of Ragnarok alive and well, possibly as a tee-up to a supporting role for Hiddleston in Infinity War. If Loki can successfully destroy Asgard, perhaps Thanos will be impressed enough to recruit him as a partner. You could argue that this diminishes the intrigue levels surrounding Ragnarok. Even if Loki winds up in a prison cell at the end, who would believe for a second that hed stay there for long? And if it seems that hes died, everyone will assume hes actually got another trick up his sleeve. This is tricky ground, which Thor: Ragnarok has to tread very carefully. Lets hope that the script has a few twists and turns along the way, then, even if Loki does ultimately come out of the film unscathed. I certainly cant see him being defeated with any sense of finality.
