6. Odin Is Really Dead
One of the most frustrating holes in The Dark World is the lack of any explanation of what actually happened to Odin to allow Loki to assume his position on the throne.
Some say he fell into Odinsleep at the news of Loki's death, but Anthony Hopkins seems more firm that
he is really dead, which might be why he felt so free to openly call the film forgettable immediately after working on it, and
saying he only did it for the pay. So maybe he is really dead? An even more compelling rumour suggests that he only starts off dead, and that Thor travels to Hela to rescue his father to help dethrone Loki and fight Surtur.
The Evidence Anthony Hopkins seems to think he's done with the character, which would suggest he is indeed dead, but then there's also the small matter of him being contracted to one more MCU movie. So he could be really dead, or he could be just a little bit dead for now.
