Thor: Ragnarok - Predicting Who Lives And Who Dies
10. Skurge
Prediction: Dies
He might be new, but Marvel have a track record for disposing of supporting villains, and he has a pretty big weight of precedent behind him in another way.
Why?
Though it would be foolish to expect Thor: Ragnarok to be a hard adaptation of the comic of the same name (or of Planet Hulk), it will definitely be drawing heavily on the comics. And it would make a lot of sense if the plot included a redo of Skurge's finest moment from Walt Simonson's 1985 Mighty Thor run.
Having traditionally been a villain - usually manipulated by powerful women like Hela and Enchantress - Skurge snapped in that run and sacrificed himself in a last stand against Hela's army to allow Thor, Balder and kidnapped mortal souls to escape Hel. It might not go down exactly like that in the film, but him making a grand sacrifice would fit (and ignoring his defining act would be a betrayal of the source).
Plus we've probably seen his last stand already in the trailers.
