Ryan Reynolds has taken roles across a wide range of genres throughout his career, most notably comedy and comic book movies, but also with a horror and a thriller peppered in every now and then. In 2022, he even worked on a musical.

The new take on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol put Reynolds opposite Will Ferrell, a match on paper that made for a fun pairing, even if they aren't exactly well known for their singing and dancing. It was fun, but don't expect to see him in such a film ever again.

When speaking to Big Issue magazine, the Deadpool actor compared the making of an action/superhero flick to that of a musical, claiming that the former was far easier. Of course, this is something that he is used to, and has done much more often, but he found himself unable to get back on the horse after making mistakes while shooting Spirited, something that would be second nature to him on a different set.

So no more musicals, meaning the closest thing audiences are likely to get to a Ryan Reynolds dance number on screen since is the opening to Deadpool and Wolverine, where it wasn't even him in the suit.
