Tom Holland's Movies Ranked Worst To Best

17. Edge Of Winter

Tom Holland Spider-Man
Vertical Entertainment

Edge Of Winter sees Tom and young Percy Hynes White play brothers Brad and Caleb, who have to spend time with their divorced father Elliot (played by Joel Kinnaman) in the Canadian wilderness. Elliot is slowly unravelling as he realises that his family is slipping away from him and that his sons have no real respect for him. His grip on reality slowly drowns in his temper and he turns dangerous to his own children.

Tom's turn as the elder son Brad is a performance that holds its own against Kinnaman's but allows the older character to take centre stage. Percy Hynes White also gave a great performance as the well-balanced Caleb.

Critics appreciated this film more than audiences, who cited that its character study of embittered father Elliot was a great performance by Kinnaman, but that the majority of the film fell flat as it descended into typical thriller tropes. Not a bad film by many estimations, but not one that's destined to last through the ages.

Still bitter that Star Trek Enterprise got canned and almost old enough to angrily tell the kids to 'Get Off My Lawn!'
