Toy Story 4 Review: 8 Ups & 2 Downs

1. It Might Be The Best "Unnecessary" Sequel Ever

And finally, though Toy Story 4 is absolutely not a movie that needed to exist, it certainly succeeds in justifying itself, and in that stead just might be the best blatantly "unnecessary" sequel ever made.

Pixar seemed like they were tempting fate with a third Toy Story and that turned out spectacular, and yet again here, they've proven just how much they care about doing right by these characters.

That doesn't mean anyone "needs" a Toy Story 5, though, and even if it does happen, it really feels like it's time to move on from Woody, Buzz and co. and tell a new story for the next generation.

This is a great way to leave things, as much as the film didn't need to happen at all.
