Trailer for Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom Arrives...

The new trailer for Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom is more of the same, but with some new additions to his usual ensemble...

Ah, Wes Anderson, so full of surprises! Yes, I jest, though the trailer for his latest feature Moonrise Kingdom may share plenty of ground stylistically with absolutely everything he's done before, is that really such a bad thing? Sure, if you don't like Anderson's style it's not going to be for you, but should everything be for you? Who are you anyway? What is exciting about this new trailer though is getting our first glimpse at some of the actors new to the Anderson players, such as Edward Norton, Frances Macdormand and Bruce Willis. Watch it below... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP0QJ_Ba1Bs For me, the most interesting thing about Willis' appearance is his hairstyle, a sort of wispy grey/blonde barnet that gives him a wise old troop leader feel in this tale of a boy and girl who fall for each other and runaway during camp. As a storm arrives in the area the parents, and scout leaders, have to hunt down the two tearaways before they get struck by lightning, or something. Anyway, what does Bruce Willis' hair tell us about the quality of the film? In the interests of science, or something, I decided to compile a graph showing Willis' hair over the course of his career and you can then judge the quality of the film in relation to his folicle abundance. As you can see, a lot of Willis' best work is done around the 'tufty' portion in the middle of the graph, though he can produce fine work when he's thinning a bit more too. However, if he gets too bald his films do seem to suffer in quality, such as the woeful Die Hard 4.0. and the dire Cop Out. But, there are anamolies, such as 12 Monkeys which features a stubbly bonced Bruce, so surely it should be rubbish, however the presence of a be-wigged long flowing locked Bruce in the film magically balances this out creating what is, arguably, Willis' finest work to date. Coming to the end of the graph, projecting forwards to Moonrise Kingdom, I'm quite certain that this will be a fine addition to the man they call Bruno's varied career. Moonrise Kingdom is released in America on May 25th, with a UK date yet to be announced.

Owain Paciuszko hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
