Transformers: Age Of Extinction – 19 Easter Eggs & References

2. Remember Chicago

Transformers Age Of ExtinctionParamount PicturesOne of the main criticisms of Age of Extinction is how little it references the Battle of Chicago beyond the bare minimum required to brush it under the carpet, but aside from the news footage Bay shows us, there is a billboard shown to be situated near Cade's Texas home which reads "Remember Chicago", refers to the Transformers as "aliens", and features a phone number. Fans have reportedly tested the number and found it to be a genuine phone line, taking callers to a recorded message which states the following: "Attention citizens: We are in state of global emergency. You are urged to stay clear of all Transformers. Repeat, stay clear of all Transformers. Report any sightings immediately. Remember Transformers could be hiding anywhere. Say alert. Keep your eyes open, and say informed. For updates, visit TransformersAreDangerous.com. Repeat,TransformersAreDangerous.com." It's a simple yet effective piece of viral marketing that Bay smartly made sure was included in the film's trailers ahead of release.
