20 Upcoming Movies That Have Made ONE Big Mistake

The Social Network was one of the most surprisingly enduring films of the 2010s, and after years and years of half-hearted sequel discussions, follow-up The Social Reckoning finally started shooting last October.

However, any enthusiasm for the sequel was dampened significantly by the news that original director David Fincher wouldn't be back, with returning screenwriter Aaron Sorkin instead stepping into the vacant chair.

While Sorkin has proven himself a competent enough filmmaker with his movies Molly's Game, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Being the Ricardos, it's no shade to say that he's no David Fincher - a major downgrade, in fact.

The difficulty of producing a worthy sequel to The Social Network already speaks for itself, but Fincher's involvement would've certainly stemmed much of the scepticism, and so his decision not to return speaks volumes to many.

It doesn't help that the film's marketing has had a fairly lukewarm reception online so far, all while reports emerged that it's currently undergoing reshoots - barely two months before its October theatrical release. 

One can't imagine that would've happened on Fincher's watch.
