8. The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania
Considering that 2022's Hotel Transylvania: Transformania was confirmed to be the animated' series final entry long before it came out, nobody naturally expected to see another one.
And given that Adam Sandler didn't return to voice Count Dracula in Transformania, it was probably just as well that the franchise bowed out at that point.
So there was much surprise back in July when Sony announced the series' surprise resurrection, with fifth film The Haunting of Hotel Transylvania set to release on October 8, 2027.
Original Hotel Transylvania director Genndy Tartakovsky suggested that a new film got the greenlight due to Transformania's strong performance on streaming, seemingly proving to Sony that the IP could survive without Sandler's involvement.
All the same, considering the mediocre reception to the fourth film and a general feeling that the series has run its course, it's tough to be even remotely interested in this new movie.
