20 Announced Movies NOBODY Asked For

At the start of the year, Sony announced that they're in the early stages of developing a new big-screen adaptation of hit '70s TV series Charlie's Angels.

This new take on the female-fronted spy franchise will be written by Pete Chiarelli (The Proposal, Crazy Rich Asian), with Drew Barrymore - who starred in the two early-aughts movie adaptations - said to be producing with her Flower Films production company.

But considering that Charlie's Angels has already been adapted twice to the big screen over the last three decades - once successfully, more recently less so - it's tough to have much enthusiasm for a third.

Furthermore, given that Elizabeth Banks' 2019 reboot flopped at the box office, there's a strong argument to be made that modern audiences just don't care about Charlie's Angels as a franchise.

Much as Hollywood doesn't want to hear it, sometimes it's fine if franchises just... end.
