20 Announced Movies NOBODY Asked For

Following the mammoth box office success of 2017's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, Disney announced that they were planning a limited series starring iconic villains Gaston and LeFou, with Luke Evans and Josh Gad set to reprise their roles from the movie.

However, this ultimately stalled and was confirmed by Evans to be cancelled in 2024. 

Yet never ones to be deterred, the Mouse House announced last year that they've instead pivoted to produce a theatrical Gaston movie, with a script written by David Callaham (The Expendables, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse).

Here's the catch, though - Luke Evans reportedly won't be reprising his role as Gaston, with Glen Powell apparently now circling the part.

Much as Disney is basically shareholder-bound to exploit its most popular IP as much as possible, Gaston is almost certainly a character best experienced in small doses, and it's especially tough to care about this if Evans isn't coming back.
