What A Hardcore Uncharted Fan Thinks Of The Uncharted Movie

4. The Flying Ships Finale Is One Of The Best Uncharted Action Scenes EVER

When people think of the Uncharted games, they think of their over-the-top action scenes. The train level in Among Thieves. The sinking ship in Drake's Deception. That bonkers vehicle chase through Madagascar in A Thief's End.

And while most of the movie's action won't exactly blow your socks off, it does contain two standout sequences: the cargo plane fight, and the pirate ship battle.

While the former was cribbed from Uncharted 3, the latter is a new concept for the movie, and oh boy, it's a bloody good one.

The ships crashing into each other, enemy goons swinging across on grappling hooks, Nate kicking his foes over the edge, that perfectly-aimed cannon shot... it's got that signature Uncharted ridiculousness but it never veers into dumb territory, like some of the facepalm-worthy stuff we saw in F9 last year.

In short, the sequence capably stands toe-to-toe with some of the best action from the games, and when you take my previous praise of this finale into account, the final part of the movie is worth buying a ticket for.
