6. Some People Will Never Learn So Don't Waste Your Time
Shingen isnt going to win any father of the year awards anytime soon. Not only is he morally bankrupt, he is jealous of his offspring, has daddy issues of his own and tried to kill his daughter. Like I said, not the best father you can wish for. So after an awesome sword fight with Shingen, Wolverine brings him down to his knees and is in a position to kill him, once and for all. But being a good guy, Wolverine spares Shingen and tells him that he is going to let him live because he will have to live with the fact that he tried to murder his own daughter. While that might be punishment enough for any average person, Shingen has shown no redeeming features that demonstrate he will suffer by pondering on his own despicable actions. He tried to kill his own daughter - reflecting on that is not going to bother him all that much. But as expected by everyone apart from Wolverine, Shingen doesnt let the thought of his daughter dying bother him for too long. 5 seconds later he is on his feet and charging at Wolverine, who quickly finishes him off. So when you have the advantage over someone who wants you dead, telling them to spend some time contemplating their actions is like just asking to be stabbed in the back.
