5. Short AND Long Range
Let's face it; the silver samurai (or RoboSamurai as I like to call him) was a bit rubbish. Not only did he look rubbish thanks to the curse of CGI, he was also designed with one major flaw. RoboSamuari is a giant mechanical samurai made out of Adamantium, the hardest metal know to man. He is super strong, imposing, threatening and serves as one big silver package of intimidation. And considering that finances are not an issue for Yashida, you are perfectly entitled to assume that RoboSamurai would be equipped with the most state of the art weapons imaginable. However, the only thing RoboSamurai has is a giant samurai sword. The designers completely overlooked that the need might arise at some point where he might require a long-range attack. The fight with Wolverine wouldnt have dragged for as long as it did if someone had the forethought to attach a couple of RPGs on its shoulders. Even ED-209 had rockets. But this is Japan and RoboSamurai is supposed to be all traditional... so traditional means a rubbish samurai sword to wave around. But at least they didnt overlook putting correctly-spaced drills in each hand just in case they might be needed to drill into Wolverines claws at some point.
