5. Ares Is Diana's Real Father

The Rumour: Though the marketing suggested that Diana's father would indeed be Zeus, that didn't stop some fans catching a whiff of a swerve, whereby it would actually be revealed that her father was, in fact, the villainous Ares.

The Truth: Nope. Zeus is her daddy and that's that. There probably would've been an interesting way to pull this off, with a Mandarin-style reveal that toyed with audience expectations and forced Diana to consider her own station in life as the daughter of the God of War, but it was probably smarter to keep things simple and just focus on delivering an entertaining rendition of the basic goods.

Plus, would it really have been believable that David Thewlis fathered Gal Gadot? And how would this even work in regard to Hippolyta? It would've raised too many questions and likely ended up needlessly convoluted.
