3. Deadpool

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 84% (6.9/10)

Ryan Reynolds' R-rated superhero comedy was arguably the most shocking cinematic success story of last year, grossing almost $800 million against a $58 million budget and riding a wave of positive reviews all the way to the bank.

Yes, the crudeness and meta-comedy will always divide enough to keep that pesky average score down, but it's hard to fault Deadpool's rambunctious personality, helping endear the character to a whole new audience and drag Reynolds back out of the box office dog-house.

As great as it is, though, it's more indebted to superhero formula than it thinks it is, and the main villain sucks, so it's pretty far from perfect (not that Wonder Woman had particularly great antagonists either).
