Wonder Woman 1984: 10 Mind-Blowing Leaked Plot Details Revealed
1. A Sad (But Kinda Happy) Ending
Back in Washington D.C., Diana just so happens to bump into the man whose body Steve was inhabiting, and they wish each other a "Merry Christmas" before parting ways. He clearly has no memory of what happened and, in a voice over, Wonder Woman talks about having faith in people before leaping into the air Superman-style to answer a nearby alarm.
That points to her becoming a superhero known to the public which somewhat contradicts the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where she quite clearly had a desire to stop the world from finding out she exists. The DC Extended Universe is, however, moving on that that era of storytelling, so Wonder Woman 1984 retconning certain plot points wouldn't be overly surprising.
There's no mention of a post-credits scene but with this being a standalone adventure and not an era we're likely to return to, there's nothing really to tease as the villains will all be elderly or dead by the time we pick up with the Amazon in the present day. Overall, it sounds like a decent adventure for the character but not one that really breaks the mould or delivers anything we haven't seen before.
Diana had faith in man after the first film too so in terms of advancing the character, it doesn't sound like much is done beyond giving her a brighter costume and more heartbreak. Still, depending on the response to these test screenings, it's possible some elements were changed with reshoots...
We'll find out either way on June 5th!
