Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Review: 8 Ups & 1 Down

4. It Gives Away Very Little Of The Plot

One thing that the Wonder Woman 1984 trailer pulled off was entertaining the audience without giving away any major plot details. Sure, the film is set in the '80s, documents Max Lord's rise to power, features the return of Steve Trevor and contains a lot of epic stunts, but we still don't know what it all means or how any of it comes to pass.

Over the past half decade, film trailers have adopted an annoying habit of spoiling at least half of their respective film through showing too much footage, alluding to obvious outcomes or, in the infamous case of Terminator Genisys, spoiling the freakin' twist upon which the entire film was built.

With that in mind, it's easy to see why the less-is-more approach of Wonder Woman 1984's trailer is remarkably refreshing.
